Severndroog Lates continue with Tamara Stein - 8pm this Friday

Whilst you can’t come to us, we’re coming to you with weekly music and dance from some of your favourite Severndroog acts. Direct to your home, on Friday 8 May at 8pm, Tamara Stein (soprano) will be performing a wide variety of songs and arias covering the joys and sorrows of love including works by Puccini, Mozart, Schumann, Grieg and others.

This is for the opera curious, classical music lovers and anyone in between. Dress up, mix a cocktail and join us on Facebook for a fantastic evening at the opera!

We’re hoping that when the castle is open again that she will be able to perform on site ‘Memories from the life of an opera singer - part 2’, featuring ‘Baroness Tamara von Stein zu Leitershofen’ - if you enjoyed part 1 last year, you’ll be back for more without fail!

We are asking for a donation of £5 or more to help ensure that the doors of Severndroog Castle can re-open to the public once the crisis is over.

When you donate via this link, we’ll send you an invite for the show.

Severndroog is a tower built in the 18th century situated in Castle Wood in the Oxleas Woodlands in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Built on Shooters Hill, one of the highest points in the city, the viewing platform boasts some of the most spectacular views in London. This folly was restored in 2013 and preserved by the Sevendroog Castle Preservation Trust. Described as ‘London’s best kept secret’. ‘Forget the Eye or the Shard, you just have to climb to the top of Severndroog Castle for the best views in London’.
