C&W Film Festival

Screening of Hitchcock's 'Vertigo'

On Friday 13th of September, with Charlton & Woolwich Free Film Festival, we will be showing an outdoor screening of Hitchcock's classic film Vertigo.

We invite you to join us in the courtyard of the historic Severndroog Castle, the only place in the city you can enjoy a cocktail surrounded by ancient woodland and experience 360° views of London and its surrounding counties. Sit back, watch the sun slowly set and be thrilled by Hitchcock’s psychological thriller ‘Vertigo’ this Friday 13th.

This year, the Charlton & Woolwich Film Festival has chosen to screen ‘Vertigo’, a 1958 American film noir psychological thriller directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The story was based on the 1954 novel ‘D'entre les morts’ (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac. The screenplay was written by Alec Coppel and Samuel A. Taylor.

A very limited amount of Viewing Platform tickets are available for exclusive access to stunning twilight panoramic views of London from the top of the Castle. Looking westward over the city on a clear day you can experience perfect sunsets. Following taking in our dazzling views, head back downstairs to watch Hitchcock’s ‘Vertigo’ on an outdoor screen.

Food and cocktails will be available to buy from Severndroog's partner The Terrace Tearoom. Their celebrated chef Christopher Hackett will be cooking up delicious food and cocktails, and providing wine and beer all evening.

Doors Open 6.30pm - 10:00pm, Film screening starts at 8pm

The film screening is free, but Viewing Platform Tickets are £6 + booking fee (includes timed access to the viewing platform)
