Since the Castle reopened in 2014, the Tea Room has always been let on a concessionary licence to other companies. This has proved quite complicated at times, has only provided a minimal income for the Castle and has meant that the Trust has only had a narrow say in how things are run.
Going forward, we have the opportunity to take the Tea Room in-house and run it ourselves, creating a much bigger income to reinvest into the Castle, creating a more sustainable future and providing a better quality of experience for our visitors. As the Castle is unfunded by any other body, we rely on the income we make from visitors and events to enable the Castle to stay open to the public and to carry out all the necessary maintenance needed.
Help us bring a new enhanced experience to the Castle!
Please donate and help reestablish the Tea Room!

Closing the Castle as a result of Covid 19 has cut off almost all of our streams of funding, putting the future of Severndroog at risk. Once more the Castle needs the public to pull together to ensure Severndroog's remains a place of heritage, respite, and community. So please consider supporting the Castle through a donation.
You will be helping #SaveSeverndroog.
Severndroog Castle Building Preservation Trust is a charity and relies on donations from the public and organisations. We do not receive funding from the government, English Heritage or the National Trust.
Where your donations go
It costs upwards of £70,000 to keep the Castle open every year, so your donation will go towards the conservation of the building and will enable us to stay open to the public and continue to provide an exciting array of community, cultural and educational events and activities.
